At The Age of 3 years, Medearis has always been infatuated with music. His first encounter with a saxophone was when he won it at the Puyallup Fair. There was also a Piano in his apartment that he would often walk accross to make noise.

In fifth grade, Medearis was inspired by the 98.9 Smooth Jazz Radio where he listened to multiple Smooth Jazz Artists and other artists connected to Motown and Atlantic Records. When he transitioned from Dimmitt Middle school to Nelsen Middle School, Medearis Joined the middle school jazz band under the direction of Joey Roberts. During band class, Medearis found out that he had the ability of perfect pitch when Mr. Roberts would conduct ear training. During this time period, Medearis was hired by Darren Motamedy to perform at Kona Kai Coffee, after he discovered him at a school jazz band concert,  where he made his first 12 dollars as a Jazz Musicians.

MD was also a band member in Surround Band under the direction of Clifford “Kip” Dumas where he was introduced to Funk Style Music. Surround  Sound Band performed  in Portland, Tri-Cities, and Other cities while based in Seattle to spread their interpretation of music that inspired dancing and having a good time. MD in this time also met and befriended singer Josephine Howell. While under Josephine Howell’s leadership, MD was introduced to the concept of creating special moments, commanding the stage, telling stories, and making it a point that people left the performance better than when they had arrived. This relationship landed MD with the opportunity to record on her Self Titled Album that was released in 2018. These specific groups heavily influenced MD’s music career.
